BOSTON CITY GUIDE
You all know I’m a “foodie” so anytime I travel to a new city the trip is usually planned around where I’ll be eating and how many restaurants we can fit in each day. I’m all about progressive style dining on trips… I just need to learn how to eat less. #fatkidatheart
BOSTON CITY GUIDE
Boston is known for its clam chowder and Boston cream pies, but I was on a mission to find the best lobster roll. No idea where my obsession with lobster rolls came from, but it started last year in Chicago of all places. My friend thought I was pregnant because all I wanted to order on the trip was a lobster roll. Then in Boston and on my recent trip to the Hamptons I pretty much ate only lobster rolls or at least once per day. So did I find the best lobster roll in Boston? Yep!
Third time was the charm… Saltie Girl was the winner. Even though EVERYONE swore the famous Neptune’s oyster house had the best one. All the hype (along with the 2 hour wait) didn’t win me over. Don’t get me wrong, it was still a really darn good lobster roll and I highly recommend going to this charming spot. Especially if you love oysters since it is really an oyster place.
Do you prefer your lobster roll hot or cold?? I always assumed lobster rolls were served cold. Apparently I’ve been living under a rock. I guess the original way a lobster roll is served is warm with hot butter. Okay okay… Didn’t love it, but still obviously ate all of it.
The reason I loved the lobster roll at Saltie Girl was because it was cold first off… But, the lobster chunks were huge and it had just the right amount of stuff mixed in. If I’m going to pay $$$ for a lobster roll you better give me a LOT of lobster meat. k thanks.
Obviously I didn’t just eat lobster rolls because I wanted to hit up as many restaurants as possible so here is my list of top restaurants to visit in Boston!
BOSTON RESTAURANT GUIDE
Any Italian spot in the North end…
It’s true I plan most vacations around food lol. However, we did do some tourist stuff like go to the Boston public library and check out some of the Freedom Trail. If I’d had more time in Boston I totally would have walked the entire Freedom Trail. Also, kinda bummed I didn’t get to go to a Boston Red Sox game! I did make it to the Cheers bar which was really fun!

Even though I wasn’t able to spend a ton of time exploring Boston I really do love the city. I will 100% go back the first chance that arrises. Hopefully it’s during the summer months because the weather is beautiful!!
If you’re looking for a place to stay I’d recommend The Row Hotel in Sommerville. It’s right outside of the city, but easy to get just about anywhere. It opened not too long ago so it’s incredibly nice! The rooms are very spacious which is always noted in my book. It’s located at The Assembly Row which is a small outdoor shopping and entertainment area with great restaurants. If you’re traveling for business and want a little more peace and quiet then you should stay at The Row Hotel!
